24 July 2009 July Update

Thanks to all who have supported us during the recording, release and launch of our debut EP! 'Aronora' has been very well received and is still available for purchase at www.aronora.com/store.

Currently we are writing, rehearsing and preparing for a number of live performances planned for the coming months, the first of which is going to be a rare solo acoustic gig by Benny Cameron at the Brunswick Hotel.

1 June 2009 'Aronora' EP released June 5!

We are excited to announce that our debut self titled EP 'Aronora' will be released on Friday June 5!

The EP was recorded over two weeks at Jubilee St Studios and features seven of the tracks we've been performing live over the last few months. It will be available for purchase online at www.aronora.com.

To coincide with its release we'll be performing at The Espy Gershwin Room alongside Rincon, Engine Three Seven, New Skinn & Icarus on Friday June 19. Tickets for the event are available now, email aronoramusic@gmail.com or call 0433 915 576 to arrange payment and delivery. (Tickets are $10 pre-sale, $15 at the door)

7 May 2009 We've finally hit the studio!

After months of planning and preparation, the recording of our debut EP began last Saturday at Jubilee Street. Tracking is going well, and we are already very excited about how the project is coming together.

We expect to finish recording and mastering by the end of the month, and a big June launch of the finished EP is currently being confirmed so stay tuned for details!

Until then, come down to the METAL MASTA Rock Festival on Saturday May 23rd to check out some new tracks and catch us live for our only show in May. We are performing with Vanishing Point, Medusa, Divine Fury & Elm Street.

1 April 2009 April Update

Thanks again to all who have made an effort to come out and see aronora perform live over the last month, your ongoing support is much appreciated.

For the next few weeks aronora will be heading back into writing sessions and rehearsals with a view to record their debut EP at the start of May. As this is the band's main focus at this time, they have only one show booked for April, Friday 24th at The Espy Basement, where they will be road testing some of the new tunes that will be presented on the EP. The finished product is expected to be launched in Melbourne in June this year.

1 March 2009 March Update

After an impressive debut performance at The Pony on February 12 and an equally impressive follow-up gig at The Tote two weeks later, aronora have burst onto the Melbourne music scene. Three more live shows have been scheduled for March 2009 as follows:

Over 100 people packed into the upstairs band room of The Pony last Thursday night to witness aronora's debut live performance. The night was a huge success and the amount of positive feedback has been overwhelming. 31 January 2009 Press Release - February 24 The Tote

Melbourne based prog rock outfit aronora has teamed up with long serving rock band Sister Anxiety and new comers Violet Town to present a midweek night of musical exploration at the Tote on February 24th. Led by multi talented front man Benny Cameron and supported by a tight backline of polished musicians, aronora has quickly developed its own unique sound, combining brooding ambience, crunching riffs and euphonic melodies. No stranger to the live scene, Sister Anxiety are polished performers, with years of experience and a raw live sound that engages the listener from the opening note. Violet Town promises to deliver an aggressive montage of heartfelt introspective themes coupled with exceptional musicianship and potent deliverance.

After much anticipation, February 12 will see Melbourne based progressive rock outfit aronora make their debut performance at The Pony, announcing their arrival on the national music scene. 28 December 2008 December Update

Two months after the formation of the current line-up sees aronora in a strong position to burst onto the national music scene in early 2009. The writing and jamming process has been very successful with more than a set of quality and diverse material having been created with relative ease. The band has quickly gelled together, fusing a wide variety of influences to create a unique and polished sound that will surely impress a wide variety of listeners. 23 December 2008 Home Recordings Vol 2

Recorded in under a week at both Rosstrevor Cres and Jubilee St, aronora's Home Recordings Vol 2 captures three brand new tracks covering the diverse aspects of the band's raw power and brooding ambience. Unlike its predecessor, Vol 2 has been produced in a take by take format allowing the band to more freely express their creative vision for the music and subsequently capture a more professional sound. As with Home Recordings Vol 1, Vol 2 is available in hard copy format free of charge. 24 October 2008 Home Recordings Vol 1

Recorded at Jubilee St during a regular rehearsal session, Home Recordings Vol 1 captures aronora in it's rawest environment, the songs performed in one take using only a left and right input in order to display the live sound they achieve. A fairly rough recording, hard copy CD's are available for free, simply email your name and address to aronoramusic@gmail.com and your copy will be sent directly to you.
