7 October 2009 Metal Obsession
With regards to Aronora's debut self-titled EP...
... For those that don't know the band, in a nut shell, Aronora take the proggy riffs of bands like
Dream Theater and Porcupine Tree and mix in the more subtle, ambient side and smooth guitar
melodies of Pink Floyd. The balance is spot on, with constant switching between the two to really
keep the music going...
...When they drop the pace and relax,
they do it beautifully, and when they jump into things, they really know how to get the groove going.
Aronora are an extremely smooth, natural sounding band...
...this is a great album and one that prog fans should give a shot...

20 June 2009 Triple J Unearthed
With regards to "Taken Away", from Aronora's debut self-titled EP...
A solid progressive metal tune. The music here has a wide variety of elements.
It is like a mix of Pink Floyd's psychedelic vibes, Tool's hard hitting tunes and Black Sabbath's bit metal sound.
Everything works well together to create a new sound that makes use of the good bits of many other great styles.
The song goes in all sorts of directions from being fast and heavy to being slow and softer with all sorts of experimental
sounds in between. This is the sort of track that wont grow tired in a hurry! Great job!
